    Meet Your Nervous System Part 1 in a 2-part parenting workshop series designed and taught by Occupational Therapist, Sara Sheppard. Each workshop is unique and you can attend them individually or together. Have you ever wondered why one child craves movement while another avoids it? Why some children melt down over seemingly small things, or why certain strategies work one day and not the next? This interactive two-part workshop for parents explores how the nervous system shapes behavior, emotions, learning, and connection. Rather than focusing on “fixing” behaviors, we’ll discover how the body experiences safety, stress, and regulation — and why every nervous system is unique. Through hands-on activities, simple neuroscience, and real-life examples, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your own nervous system and learn practical ways to support your child’s regulation in everyday life. Learn how to clear your energy field and have fun doing it. Play with creating energetic flow, understand your own energy, and creating healthy energitic spaces. Beginner class in understanding, feeling, and playing with your energy field. Learn how to differentiate energies and harmonize with other people. Class topic will depend on who is in the class that week.

  • Opening Reception: Artist Paul LaJeunesse

    Halcyon House 11 E Michigan St., Duluth, United States

    Paul LaJeunesse creates large-scale, site-specific murals that reflect the historic, identities, communities and locations. His work is rooted in research, collaboration and storytelling. Through his process he transforms public spaces into a shared narrative. Paul LaJeunesse received his Master of Fine Arts in painting from Bowling Green State University in 2006. He is an Elizabeth Greenshields grant recipient, and a 2007 Fulbright fellow where he created a body of landscape paintings in Iceland. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, with solo exhibitions in Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Missouri, Indiana, Minnesota and Iceland and group exhibitions in Saitama and Tokyo Japan, and numerous states in the United States. He is a public artist with 7 murals and multiple community murals. He has taught at Western Oregon University, Georgia State University, The College of St. Scholastica, Anderson Ranch Studio and The Grand Marais Art Colony, and currently at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.   • Tea Talks: Deltiology in Downtown Duluth

    Deltiology is the study and collection of postcards. Come see some historic Real Photo Postcards of people that were produced in Downtown Duluth over 100 years ago. Postcards were the original selfie and even a form of social media back in the early 1900s. Gina Temple-Rhodes is a local history researcher, history nerd and former librarian. She has been digging into the local historic record for 30 years. Welcome to Tea Talks, interesting talks by interesting people about topics they are passionate about, in a cozy and informal space. We provide the talks and tea, bring your curiosity!
