Think: Cozy fall eats Seasonal sips A pumpkin bounce house A lakeside twist on the classic hayride Local makers + shopping galore Adoptable dogs from PJ’s Rescue Cabin full of books And all the autumn vibes you can handle We’ll have local vendors setup along Harbor Drive with food, kid activities, pumpkin bounce house and inflatable toddler farm town! We will have places to relax & enjoy the fall breeze off the lake with a beverage in hand. Plenty of pumpkins and photo-ops and best of all, free to attend! Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) 350 Harbor Dr, Duluth, MN 55802, DuluthWelcome aboard the R/V Blue Heron! The LLO Science on Deck event is free and will take place from 11 am to 3 pm. Enjoy guided tours of the research vessel from the crew, interact with graduate students working on freshwater research, and explore engaging displays. The public can hear a presentation at 1:30 pm from the Large Lakes Observatory’s Dr. Ted Ozersky titled "What Lakes Do In Winter.” Location: (DECC) Twin Ports Harbor near the Great Lakes Aquarium at 353 Harbor Drive, Duluth, MN. ABOUT LLO: Located on the Duluth campus of the University of Minnesota Duluth, LLO is the only institute in the country dedicated to the study of large lakes throughout the world. They focus on the global implications of investigations in the areas of aquatic chemistry, circular dynamics, geochemistry, acoustic remote sensing, plankton dynamics, sedimentology and paleoclimatology.
