First up is a Trail-wide hike. Register for your preferred section of the SHT to hike, run, or saunter on our event webpage. After your time on the Trail, celebrate with us at one of four epic birthday parties hosted by local businesses. You bring the stories and we’ll bring the cake! Join us in making this 40th birthday party a tale worth telling for the next 40 years. Volun-Cheers, Northshore!
Castle Danger Brewery 17 7th St, Two Harbors, MN, United StatesThis year for National Volunteer Week, Head of the Lakes United Way is teaming up with our non-profit partners in the Twin Ports and on the Northshore to celebrate current volunteers and spark volun-curiousity for those looking to give back to their community. We are hosting two Volun-Cheers events that will feature door prizes, food, music and a chance to mingle with volunteers, volunteer coordinators, leaders from local non-profit organizations, sponsors and participating businesses. This event will be followed by a screening of a local documentary, “The Middle Ground,” highlighting the work of local volunteers with the Duluth Center of Women and Children in their Nourish Initiative. The film will be shown at the Harbor Theater at 6:15 pm. Following this screening at 7 pm, the Harbor Theater will show “To Kill a Mockingbird."

Stuff the Bus Lake County
Castle Danger Brewery 17 7th St, Two Harbors, MN, United StatesJoin Head of the Lakes United Way on Friday, August 30th from 1 pm to 6 pm at Castle Danger Brewery for an afternoon of family fun and a chance to support local students. Help us Stuff the Bus by donating NEW school supplies for the upcoming school year. All supplies collected will be delivered to the Lake Superior School District and distributed to students by school staff. Along with helping us Stuff the Bus enjoy drinks from Castle Danger, food from The Rainy Rose and Oasis Del Norte food trucks, and stick around after for music by Teague Alexy. Come join us to celebrate the end of summer and help ensure that every child starts the school year with the tools they need to be successful.
