The Gemstones are Duluth’s funktastic soul/rock band hitting you hard in the groove bone – the kind of band your mom wishes she grew up listening to. Whether it be Courtney Ellian’s smooth and sultry vocals or keys playing, Manny Eisele loving the low-end on bass/vocals, Josh Nickila’s vintage sound on guitar/vocals, or Ian Hopp’s “madman on funkahol” drumming/vocals; this is a powerhouse of soundscapes and all-around funk/rock sex-suasion – musically.
