DESCRIPTION:The Duluth Civic Orchestra (DCO) presents Pièce de Résistance: Symphonic Works of Protest — a free concert featuring five works written in defiance. A symphony broadcast at enemy lines during the Nazi siege of Leningrad. A suffragette anthem conducted from prison with a toothbrush. A banned dance smuggled into a concert hall. Music that refused to be silenced. The DCO is a community orchestra of more than 50 musicians of all ages and backgrounds. We’ve been bringing free concerts to Duluth since the 1980s — because we believe live orchestral music belongs to everyone. Join us May 26 at 6:30pm at Lincoln Park Middle School.
