SUMMARY:Art Dock Inc - From Norway to the North Shore
DESCRIPTION:It opens on on Monday\, April 29 at the Art Dock in the Dewitt-Seitz Marketplace in Canal Park. It features a collection of paintings done with watercolor\, pen\, collage and acrylic paint. Pavlatos says “Painting is a way to capture the moment. I enjoy connecting my life to the landscape before me. My paintings reflect nature’s impact on my life.” Sue traveled to Norway in May 2024 to paint and draw its beauty. It was a US cousins trip visiting Norwegian cousins and traveling the country. “I wanted to paint the beautiful vistas\, and importantly\, capture the moment with family. It was a pleasure to visit and revisit the farms\, forest\, and rocky coast of Norway. The connection on both sides of the ocean was poignant. Our four grandmothers\, and their letters over the years\, have connected us. Our love of natures’ beauty keeps us connected. The added bonus was a similarity to our beautiful North Shore\, and a show was born.” \nPlease join Sue’s painting demonstration 1:00 to 3:00 pm and her Artist Reception on Saturday\, May 3rd from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Art Dock. The show runs Monday\, April 29th to Sunday\, May 18th.
