DESCRIPTION:Hosted by LiveWell\, an initiative of the Pruitt Center for Mindfulness and Well-Being at UW–Superior. \nPart of our #BetterTogether programming to foster connection and reduce social isolation in the Twin Ports. \nDate: Saturday\, February 7\, 2026\nTime: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Turn around whenever you’d like)\nLocation: Makwa Ziibiins Miikana (Bear Creek Trail)\nDistance: Optional 1–2 miles\nCost: Free\nRSVP: 8 pairs of snowshoes are available for use\, RSVP to secure your spot \nJoin us for a restorative snowshoeing experience on the beautiful Makwa Ziibiins Miikana (Bear Creek Trail). This improved compact-gravel trail offers an easy\, scenic outing along Bear Creek and Allouez Bay. The route includes multiple small wooden crossings\, boardwalks\, and two large wooden bridges\, perfect for a peaceful winter walk and good conversation. \nThe trail begins at Bear Creek Park\, near the intersection of East 2nd Street and Moccasin Mike Road near the Humane Society of Douglas County. \nWe will meet near the Bear Creek Park in the parking lot area. \nWhether you come alone or with a friend\, we’ll enjoy winter together — #BetterTogether.
