Glensheen, the historic Congdon estate, is setting the stage for a unique and romantic dinner just in time for Valentine’s Day. Sweethearts are invited to combine the elegance of Glensheen with the delectable cuisine of Savories, one of Duluth’s premier caterers, for “some romantic evening.” The event begins with a self-guided tour of the majestic mansion and is followed by a sampling of fine beverages in the recreation room. After the beer and wine tasting, diners will settle in for a fabulous dinner in Glensheen’s winter garden. Live music and a take-home rose are sure to impress. $60 per person.

Matinee Musicale: Imani Winds Woodwind Quintet

The Imani Winds are one of the most endearing and exciting ensembles around. Supremely talented musicians, they are also advocates for the diversity of classical music (ensemble members are Black, Hispanic, and Egyptian) and for their peculiar passion: music for the wind quintet, which consists of bassoon, French horn, oboe, clarinet, and flute. The Imani Winds have commissioned many new works, and delight in outreach activities for children: several school appearances are scheduled in Duluth in the two days before their concert on the 14. $20 adults/$18 seniors/$6 students. Held at Pilgrim Congregational Church.
