The Tweed Museum of Art annually exhibits a broad selection of artworks from its collection of 6500 objects. This year features 70 artworks that demonstrate how related works of art, when viewed together, may best reveal common themes. Free admission. Mar 1st- Mar 31st: : Art for Hire: Prints from Minnesota WPA
Time:
Art for Hire: Prints from the Minnesota WPA presents lithographs by Minnesota artists employed by the Works Progress Administration, 1933-43. Artists from all over the state participated, and received weekly paychecks to produce paintings, prints, murals, sculpture, and to teach classes and workshops.Free admission. Mar 3rd- Mar 7th: Duluth Playhouse presents "The Secret Garden"

Based on the beloved novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden will enchant audiences with its cherished story told anew in a dazzling musical all about the power of love and the miracle of rebirth. The year is 1911 and young, orphaned Mary Lennox is being sent to live with her brooding uncle in his gloomy English manor house. Mary discovers a secret, mysterious, walled-up garden on the grounds and releases the hidden magic locked inside. Mar 6th: “Candlelight Ski, Skate & Snowshoe”

This event is for both families with children and couples looking for a night out. Luminaries will line the ski trails and a large clearing will be surfaced for ice skating on Hartley Pond. Naturalists will lead snowshoe hikes by moonlight which ends with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies at an encampment adjacent to Hartley Pond. There will be a plethora of tasty snacks in the facility and wine is served after 7 p.m. Held at the Hartley Nature Center.

A psychiatrist and the mother superior of the convent clash during the resulting investigation. Agnes is a beautiful but tormented soul whose abusive upbringing has affected her ability to think rationally.
